About

ABOUT THIS BLOG:

In 2 Timothy 2:15 Paul instructs “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.” As Christians, we need to study God’s Word in order to “rightly handle the word of truth!” Many today go no deeper than the surface when studying God’s word! This leads to false, or partially correct, claims. In today’s culture, in depth study is traded for a shallow “quick fix” version. Preferring to jump straight into theology and application, many neglect a critical look at the text in order to determine first what the author meant and only then moving to the application for the present. We must learn from the Bible and its history. A man once said, “those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” This blog is purposed to bring its readers deeper into the Word of God. Its intent is to balance critical exploration with relevance. I hope this will be a tool that truly changes not only my life as I write, but also the lives of those who read it. May God bless you as you study, walking closer with Him as you rightly handle His truth.
